My role at LeadsNearby

Working at LeadsNearby began with designing website layouts, but quickly became about adaptability. My main role was to design website prototypes and then present them at various stages to the client over video calls. In between site builds, other departments required support from the design team. Social media campaigns, marketing automation, and new content or blogs all need assets created for them to be published.

After a substantial amount of time with this company, both the day-to-day process and my role began to shift. It began with helping to improve our site build process by creating levels of programs for the client to choose from. Creating site components and templates decreased the whole site build timeline instead of every aspect being a custom build. This allowed Leadsnearby to increase sales by offering these new compete and foundation programs.

In addition to the usual design responsibilities, there is also ongoing QA of all live sites. Due to a number of staff changes over time, the developers became incredibly swamped. To solve this issue, I trained with the development team to help with client change requests and QA-related maintenance. So instead of merely providing design solutions and formatted assets for changes, I would also implement those assets and changes to the live site.
